Entry Requirements
Subjects
- Applicants with recent secondary education Assumed knowledge: Non-accelerated program: English Standard.
- Recommended studies: Non-accelerated program: Any 2 units of science, any 2 units of mathematics.
- Other applicants Refer to the UTS general admission criteria.
- For 606000, 606001 Nursing: Applicants may apply for recognition of prior learning on an individual basis. | Check the special requirements and policies for this course.
- Inherent requirements: All students must meet the Nursing Inherent (Essential) Requirements Statement.
- Accelerated program: Not open to Year 12 applicants.
- Bachelor of Nursing Accelerated – Enrolled Nurse Certificate or Diploma Entry: Applicants must have: current AHPRA registration as an Enrolled Nurse, and a Diploma of Nursing completed within the last 5 years.
- Hospital-trained enrolled nurses are not eligible for the accelerated course.
- Applicants who meet these conditions are given recognition of prior learning (RPL) for eight subjects (48 credit points) and can complete the course in two calendar years.
- Students who receive block credit of 48 credit points of RPL are not eligible for any further credit recognition against their course of study.
Assessment Methods
Assessment is varied across the programme and may include: Written examinations across foundational modules; Coursework essays and analytical reports; Group and individual projects with presentations; Practical lab, studio, or fieldwork assessments where relevant; A final-year dissertation or capstone project that lets you specialise in a topic of your choice.
