- Essential requirements All clinical ambulance placements will be performed with the South Australian Ambulance Service (SAAS) requiring students to meet a range of pre-placement requirements at their own cost.
- These include passing a medical and functional capacity assessment, completing a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (NCCHC) and providing an immunisation record of vaccination or evidence of immunity against specified diseases.
- Applicants are strongly encouraged to commence all pre-placement requirements as outlined on the Degree website as soon as they have received an offer as placement compliance delays will impact the capacity to commence placements and prevent progression through the course.

- Remote and outer regional subquota This course is only available to applicants eligible under the remote and outer regional subquota.
- To be considered, you must apply to SATAC in the normal way.
- You must also, within 10 working days after submitting your application, submit a Statutory Declaration to SATAC confirming that you currently reside in remote or outer regional areas of Australia (Remoteness Classifications RA3 to RA5).
- In addition, the Statutory Declaration must confirm that you have lived in remote or outer regional areas of Australia (Remoteness Classifications RA3 to RA5) for at least two years out of the past six years or a total of five years since starting primary school in a remote and or outer regional area (RA3 to RA5).
- This is assessed based on your primary residential address.

- Criminal history check SA Health require that all employees, volunteers and students on placements who will be in contact with children, young people, vulnerable adults and recipients of Aged Care Services to comply with State and National legislation requiring them to have a valid criminal history screening check.
- The screening process is managed by the Department of Human Services (DHS) Screening Unit . | Recent secondary Qualify for the South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE) or equivalent recent year 12 qualification (including the International Baccalaureate Diploma), and achieve a competitive selection rank.
- If you have studied at higher education level for a total of more than two years, you are not eligible to use your year 12 results.
- Higher Ed Completed or partially completed a recognised higher education program at a recognised higher education institution Work-Life Other Completed a non-recent SACE or equivalent secondary education qualification with a competitive selection rank, including the International Baccalaureate Diploma (IB) VET Completed an award from a registered training organisation at Certificate III level or above
