Entry Requirements

Subjects

  • Applicants with recent secondary education Completion of NSW Higher School Certificate or interstate/overseas equivalent.
  • Other applicants Refer to the Excelsia University College's general admission criteria. | Audition: Applicant should prepare to present 2 pieces demonstrating their skill on their major instrument (including voice).
  • Interview: Conducted concurrently with the audition.
  • Applicants will discuss their previous musical experience, personal motivation and aspirations.
  • Musical knowledge: In the audition students will be assessed on their current musical knowledge and this will determine whether they go into a beginner or advanced strand in theory units.

Assessment Methods

Assessment is varied across the programme and may include: Written examinations across foundational modules; Coursework essays and analytical reports; Group and individual projects with presentations; Practical lab, studio, or fieldwork assessments where relevant; A final-year dissertation or capstone project that lets you specialise in a topic of your choice.
